Maha Al AmirMaha Al Amir is a seasoned marketing and PR professional with over 17 years of hands-on experience in organizing high-profile events and implementing publicity strategies.

As Assistant Director – Marketing Operations, she oversees the public relations, event management and the Graphic Design & Production (GDU) team of Emaar Properties. Her work covers the entire geographic spread of Emaar that covers 36 active markets globally.

Maha joined Emaar as Senior Events Manager in 2005 and was promoted to Senior Manager of Marketing Operations overseeing events, on-line, PR and the GDU team before taking over the current position.

Previously, she was Marketing Manager at eHosting DataFort, a fully-owned subsidiary of Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone, where she defined the marketing strategy for the Managed Hosting and IT Security Company.

She has worked as Brand Manager for Dubai Internet City, and created a comprehensive branding guideline booklet, apart from managing the marketing activities for promoting the DIC brand internationally. She also worked as Director of Sales at Mohamed Al Geziry Consultancy, where her main responsibility was to market the destination of Seychelles in the Gulf region.

In other key marketing roles, she worked as Marketing Manager at Commerce One Middle East Distributor with the prime responsibility of organizing trade shows in the region. Other career roles include that of Assistant to the President of the SEMEA Geography of SITA and Senior Assistant to the Department of Foreign Affairs at the Amman Chamber of Commerce.

A Jordanian national, Maha is fluent in Arabic, English, Italian, French and Maltese. She is a graduate in Arts from the American University of Beirut, and holds an Executive Secretarial Degree from YMCA. Classical music, reading, theatre and swimming are her hobbies.
