Technical Visits - Abu Dhabi
Abu DhabiRegional Tour – Abu Dhabi

Thursday, March 6, 2008 (Thursday only)

This all day trip will make stops at some of Abu Dhabi’s landmarks and iconic projects.  Ground transportation will be provided from Dubai, but will be limited to two coaches (total of 80 people).

The following itinerary is tentative and will be confirmed as the date gets closer.  The agenda will vary for each coach to avoid overcrowding at each stop.

  • 8 AM  Meet at Grand Hyatt to board coach to Abu Dhabi
  • 9:30 AM  Arrive at the construction site of Sheikh Zayed Bridge connecting Abu Dhabi Island to mainland (Sculptural Bridge by Zaha Hadid & Consultant COWI).
  • 11 AM  Site visit to Sky Tower on Al Reem island.  Sky Tower is the tallest under construction tower in Abu Dhabi with 74 stories.
  • 12:30 PM  Arrive at the Saadiyat Island exhibit in the Emirates Palace Hotgel.  Saadiyat is a distinctive island with iconic culture centers and museums such as Guggenheim and Louvre Abu Dhabi, 29 hotels and unique sports facilities.
  • 1:30 PM  Lunch break and free time at the luxurious Emirates Palace Hotel.
  • 3:00 PM  Arrive at the Al Raha Beach Development.  Presentation and site tour of the $15 billion waterfront development which includes mixed use of residential and commercial towers..
  • 6 PM  Arrive back at Grand Hyatt in Dubai.
